The purpose of the Convention is to give voice, expand democracy, educate and mobilize an underrepresented community to build progressive social change using the influence of Hip Hop. The Convention seeks to ensure a community free of misogyny, violence disease/infections, and seeks to increase its influences the values, life practices and creative expression of young people, artists and entertainers. The Convention works to build unity amongst the grassroots and electoral organizing arena.
